SWSC is women founded & led & NGO established in 2011 to empower Somali women to exercise their agency, and leadership, and advocate for gender equality and women’s empowerment in Somalia. SWSC seeks to improve the status of women and girls in Somalia by building women and girls’ skills, confidence, and capacities to be part of decision-making processes, enable them to question their marginalization, advocate for their rights, demand inclusion, access to resources, influence policies that are favorable to their rights and most of all amplify their voices by giving them the platform where they can assert their agency and activism.
